Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act and the California Privacy Rights Act, you have the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information.

HelpMesh does not “sell” personal information as defined in Cal. Civ. Code §1798.140(t). However, sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising (CCPA “sharing”) may apply. You can opt out below — your choice will be remembered on this device for 24 months.

Your choice is recorded with a hashed identifier — no plaintext IP is stored. Effective immediately. Audit-logged for 24 months.

Sensitive personal information (CPRA §1798.121)

We do not collect Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers, biometric identifiers, precise geolocation, contents of mail, or genetic data. The personal information we do process (email, name, support messages, IP, device metadata) is used only to deliver and secure the service you signed up for.

Your other rights

  • Right to know — request a copy of the personal information we hold about you. Use the export endpoint or email privacy@helpmesh.io.
  • Right to delete — request erasure of your personal information. Submit via the same channels.
  • Right to correct — fix inaccurate personal information.
  • Right to limit use of sensitive personal information — N/A, we don’t collect any.
  • Non-discrimination — exercising these rights never affects your price, service quality, or access to features (CCPA §1798.125).

Authorized agents

If you’re submitting this opt-out on behalf of a California consumer, please provide written authorization to privacy@helpmesh.io. We may verify the consumer’s identity directly per CCPA §1798.130(a)(7).

How we record your choice

When you click Save my choice, we record the timestamp, your IP address (hashed with a daily-rotated salt — never stored in plain), your browser user-agent, and the version of this notice. The record is retained for 24 months as evidence of your CCPA opt-out, then deleted. We never share these records with advertising vendors.
